Job Description

Expand the reach of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Hiring a permanent full-time Business Development Manager at $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel included.

What you'll be doing

• Bring in steel erection work from owners and general contractors across Midwest markets
• Build pursuit strategies for major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Keep tabs on competitors, bid deadlines, and the Midwest project pipeline
• Serve as the representative of an AISC-certified Michigan erector to clients and the industry
• Travel the Midwest to move pursuits toward award and build client loyalty

Who you are

• An experienced business development or sales professional in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Someone who has won large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Connected with general contractors, fabricators, or owners (preferred)
• Willing to travel throughout the Midwest
• A strong communicator who converts pipelines into awards
