Job Description

Lead business development for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector competing on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time Business Development Manager role offering $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, plus Midwest travel.

What the job covers

• Prospect steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors across Midwest regions
• Guide pursuit strategy on major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Track competitor behavior, bid windows, and Midwest project pipelines
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector at client meetings and industry events
• Travel throughout the Midwest to build accounts and advance pursuits

Experience required

• Business development or sales history in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Comfort pursuing and closing large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Ties to general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Ready for Midwest travel
• Strong communicator with a record of converting pipelines into wins
