Job Description

Help an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector win more large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons as its Business Development Manager. Permanent full-time opportunity paying $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with travel across the Midwest.

Day-to-day focus

• Generate steel erection leads with Midwest owners and general contractors
• Plan and lead pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Stay current on bid dates, competitor activity, and upcoming Midwest projects
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector at client meetings and trade events
• Travel the Midwest to build relationships and keep pursuits on track

What you bring

• Sales or business development experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Track record competing for large Midwest tonnage projects
• Network of general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Midwest
• Persuasive communicator with a history of closing opportunities
