Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established and growing dairy manufacturer with over 40 years of industry success. As they continue to expand, they’re adding a new Sanitation Manager to lead and oversee sanitation operations across two nearby production facilities.

Position Summary:
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives on the production floor. The Sanitation Manager will lead 3rd shift sanitation activities across both facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting production readiness, and mentoring sanitation team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee sanitation activities across two facilities from 7 PM to 5 AM

  • Manage master sanitation schedules and ensure documentation and execution

  • Ensure proper sanitation of equipment and plant areas for efficient production startups

  • Partner with QA and Production to verify allergen cleaning effectiveness

  • Oversee chemical use and vendor partnerships, managing budget and inventory

  • Train and develop sanitation staff and ensure proper documentation of training

  • Enforce safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, chemical handling, and SDS protocols

  • Audit and update SSOPs to maintain compliance with FDA and GFSI regulations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in sanitation or food manufacturing

  • Strong understanding of sanitation chemicals and vendor relations

  • GFSI, FDA experience required; USDA preferred

  • HACCP and PCQI certification preferred

  • Familiarity with organic, Kosher, and Halal practices is a plus

  • Strong leadership, training, and communication skills
