Job Description

Join the growth effort at an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector as Business Development Manager, targeting large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time compensation is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel.

Your role

• Develop new steel erection business with general contractors and owners in the Midwest
• Lead pursuit plans for structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Track competitive activity, bid schedules, and Midwest project pipelines
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and at industry events
• Travel the Midwest to push pursuits forward and solidify client relationships

Your background

• Proven business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Ability to win large-tonnage projects across the Midwest
• Preferred: a network among general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Prepared to travel throughout the Midwest
• Excellent communicator with a record of closing pursuits
