Job Description

Win large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons on behalf of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager role pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and involves Midwest travel.

Main duties

• Cultivate steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors throughout the Midwest
• Manage pursuits on major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Stay informed on competitors, bid calendars, and regional project pipelines
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector before clients and industry contacts
• Travel across the Midwest to grow relationships and land pursuits

Must-haves and pluses

• Business development or sales experience across steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Success winning large-tonnage Midwest work
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners a plus
• Willing to travel throughout the Midwest
• Strong communicator with a history of closing deals
