Job Description

Represent an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector as its Business Development Manager on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This is a permanent full-time role with $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and Midwest travel.

In this role you will

• Win steel erection work by partnering with general contractors and owners across the Midwest
• Own the pursuit process for structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Follow bid calendars, competitor activity, and upcoming Midwest projects
• Be the point of contact for an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client and industry settings
• Travel the Midwest to drive pursuits and maintain strong client relationships

Desired experience

• Sales or business development experience tied to steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Proven ability to win large Midwest tonnage projects
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners are preferred
• Willingness to travel the Midwest as needed
• Clear communicator with a history of turning pursuits into awards
