Job Description

Grow the project backlog of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector pursuing large Midwest work of 5,000+ tons. The Business Development Manager position is permanent and full-time, with $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and Midwest travel.

Your priorities

• Build steel erection pipelines with general contractors and owners across the Midwest
• Direct pursuit efforts on major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Gather intel on competitor moves, bid timelines, and project pipelines
• Present an AISC-certified Michigan erector to clients and industry groups
• Travel the Midwest to advance pursuits and nurture client accounts

Requirements

• Background in business development or sales for steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience winning large-tonnage projects in Midwest markets
• Preferred: established ties with general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Able to travel across the Midwest
• Clear, persuasive communicator with a solid closing record
