Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is hiring a Business Development Manager to win large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time role offers $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives along with Midwest travel.

How you will contribute

• Open doors with owners and general contractors for Midwest steel erection work
• Lead pursuits for structural steel packages on projects of 5,000+ tons
• Keep a close eye on competitors, bid calendars, and the regional project pipeline
• Be the face of an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry circles
• Travel throughout the Midwest to win pursuits and strengthen client bonds

What it takes

• Proven sales or business development background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Ability to compete for and win large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Existing general contractor, fabricator, or owner relationships a plus
• Willingness to travel the Midwest
• Confident communicator who turns opportunities into awards
