Job Description

A Fairfield, OH area structural steel fabricator is hiring a Steel Estimator to take off, price, and propose fabricated and erected steel packages for commercial and industrial clients.

In this role you will:

• Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
• Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
• Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals

Background:

• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
• 5+ years estimating structural steel
