A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with employment litigation experience to join its San Diego team. This position is ideal for an attorney looking to continue developing their litigation practice while taking on substantive responsibility in a collaborative environment.
The attorney will handle a variety of employment defense matters, including wage and hour disputes, PAGA claims, single-plaintiff litigation, and class actions. The role provides exposure to all stages of litigation and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and clients.
Handle employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
Manage written discovery and assist with case preparation
Evaluate wage and hour and other employment-related claims
Work on PAGA and class action matters
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
Manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines and billable requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active California Bar membership and in good standing
2+ years of employment litigation experience
Experience handling wage and hour matters
PAGA, single-plaintiff, and/or class action experience preferred
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
Location: San Diego, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Billable Requirement: 1,800 hours annually
