Project Engineer – Commercial Construction (Confidential)

We are working with a reputable and growing commercial general contractor seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. This firm delivers high-quality projects across hospitality, higher education, and healthcare sectors, with a strong reputation for excellence and repeat clientele.

Position Overview

The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting the project management team through all phases of construction—from preconstruction through closeout. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative environment and gain exposure to complex commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams
• Track project progress, schedules, and budgets
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Support procurement and material tracking
• Maintain organized project files and ensure accurate reporting
• Participate in project meetings and assist with communication across teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in commercial construction
• Experience in hospitality, higher education, or healthcare projects strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of construction documents and processes
• Proficiency in software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
