Job Description

Estimate structural and miscellaneous steel packages for a fabricator and erector serving the East Bay and Northern California. This Estimator position covers both fabrication and erection pricing on light commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

What the job involves:

• Quantity takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection
• Competitive bids and proposals for light commercial, residential, and industrial work
• Plan and spec review to catch scope gaps, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
• Quote requests and comparisons for detailing, erection, coatings, and freight
• Constructability and handoff coordination with project managers, the shop, and field crews

What we're looking for:

• Knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals packages
• Steel estimating experience across fabrication and erection
• Strong blueprint reading
• Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar estimating software experience is a plus
