Job Description

If you take pride in clean, buildable steel drawings, this one is for you. We're hiring a Tekla Detailer/Checker in the League City area to detail and check structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings on commercial and industrial projects, with your work heading directly to fabrication.

In this role, you will:

• Check shop, erection, and assembly drawings so they're accurate and buildable
• Model and detail structural and miscellaneous steel using Tekla Structures
• Hold drawings to AISC standards and the project specifications
• Coach junior detailers and maintain a consistent quality bar
• Coordinate RFIs and revisions with PMs, engineers, and the fabrication team

You should have:

• Strong knowledge of AISC standards, connections, and how steel gets fabricated
• 3+ years detailing structural steel in Tekla Structures
• Checking experience is strongly preferred
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage several projects at once

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
