Survey Crew Chief | Field Leadership Opportunity

Position Overview: We’re seeking a Survey Crew Chief with solid field experience and strong leadership skills. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing field operations, operating advanced survey equipment, and ensuring accuracy and safety on job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and as-built surveys
  • Operate and maintain GPS, total stations, and robotic instruments
  • Interpret plans, plats, and legal descriptions to guide survey work
  • Ensure accurate field data collection and proper documentation
  • Communicate with project managers and office staff to maintain workflow and efficiency
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain equipment readiness

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of field surveying experience, with leadership or crew chief experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Trimble, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and modern survey tools
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and communication
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in the field
