Tax Senior

Location: Orem or Salt Lake City, UT (hybrid)

Overview

An established CPA and advisory firm offering tax, audit, wealth and advisory services is seeking a Tax Senior in Orem or Salt Lake City, Utah. You will provide comprehensive tax services and solutions to a diverse clientele, combining technical expertise, analytical skills and client relationship management. This is a hybrid, full-time salaried role with structured mentoring programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and trusts
• Collaborate with clients to develop tax strategies, including advice on entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions and international taxation
• Research evolving tax laws, regulations and rulings to address client inquiries
• Serve as a trusted advisor and cultivate strong client relationships
• Mentor and coach junior staff on technical matters and best practices
• Uphold quality control procedures and identify and mitigate risks and compliance issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA preferred
• 2+ years of tax compliance and consulting experience in a public accounting firm
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax laws
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
• Must be authorized to work in the US
