Director of Sales & Operations:

Location: Richmond, Virginia (Travel as Needed) U.S. Based (Must be willing to travel when required)

Compensation: 120K – 160K + Generous bonuses

We are seeking a high-impact Director of Sales and Operations for a premier client in Richmond, Virginia. This organization is a rapidly evolving strategic partner in the supply chain industry, known for driving performance, scaling operations, and consistently exceeding customer expectations. They are looking for a proven leader who can elevate both sales growth and operational execution. If you've spent 10+ years crushing it in logistics, you know who you are-and we want to see the numbers to back it up.


Who You Are

  • A results-driven executive who's built and scaled logistics operations
  • A sales rainmaker who can back up growth with hard revenue and profit numbers
  • A leader with full-spectrum expertise in freight, warehousing, 3PL/4PL, and brokerages.
  • Someone who doesn't just manage teams-you inspire, empower, and lead from the front
  • Data-savvy, strategy-focused, and hungry for results, scale, and legacy

Must-Haves

  • 10+ years' experience in logistics/transportation(Sales and Operations)
  • Proven success in both operations and sales - we want your track record, not talk
  • Deep expertise across multiple modes: truckload, LTL, brokerage, warehousing
  • Experience building networks and managing teams
  • Willingness to travel to warehouses, terminals, customers and step in where needed
  • Able to command the room and the warehouse
  • Own the P&L like it's your business
  • Strong tech stack knowledge: TMS, WMS, ERP, and emerging logistics tech
  • Numbers to prove it!

Bonus Points If You've

  • Led a turnaround or hypergrowth phase in a logistics company
  • Opened new markets or verticals from scratch
  • Built and scaled a sales/ops structure/brokerage
  • Are the kind of leader employees still call "the best boss I ever had"
  • Managed cross border teams
