Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector needs a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to capture Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. The package is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and includes Midwest travel.

How you spend your time

• Build steel erection pursuits with general contractors and owners across Midwest markets
• Own strategy on major structural packages of 5,000+ tons
• Keep close tabs on competitors, bid timing, and upcoming Midwest work
• Travel across the Midwest to deepen client ties and advance pursuits
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector wherever decisions get made

Background that stands out

• Sales or BD background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience competing for large Midwest tonnage projects
• A network among general contractors, fabricators, or owners is a plus
• Comfortable with regular Midwest travel
• Persuasive closer who follows through
