Job Description

An established Texas land surveying firm is hiring an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead a field crew on boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects. You'll run your own crew with modern Trimble equipment and the support of an experienced RPLS team. This is a permanent role with consistent work, and SIT candidates can grow toward licensure here.

What you'll do

• Lead a field crew on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys
• Operate and maintain GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and data collectors
• Find and verify monuments and collect accurate field data
• Plan daily field work, manage crew schedules, and keep projects on time
• Communicate with project managers, the RPLS, and on-site contractors
• Follow safety procedures and train junior crew members

What you bring

• 3+ years of land surveying field experience, including time as a party chief or lead instrument operator
• Hands-on experience with Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and Trimble Access
• Good understanding of boundary evidence, field procedures, and staking
• SIT (Surveyor Intern) certification is a plus
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors in Texas conditions
