Job Description

Are you a steel project manager who likes being in the middle of the action? A structural steel fabricator near Milford, OH wants a PM to steer projects from contract award through erection, keeping the shop and the steel erectors moving together.

Day to day:

• Lead project meetings with general contractors, owners, and erectors, and stay on top of RFIs and submittals
• Manage fabricated steel jobs from award to closeout, covering scope, schedule, budget, and change orders
• Monitor billing, costs, and production, and flag risks before they become problems
• Work directly with steel erectors on erection sequence, deliveries, site logistics, and field issues
• Coordinate detailers, engineers, and the shop on drawings, approvals, and fabrication

Requirements:

• 8+ years managing structural steel fabrication or steel erection projects
• Background coordinating steel erectors and field crews
• Solid communication, cost-control, and scheduling skills
• Reads structural and shop drawings
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
