Job Description

A structural steel fabricator in the Loveland, OH area is hiring a Steel Estimator to bid fabricated and erected steel for commercial and industrial projects. You'll own the numbers from first takeoff to final proposal.

What you'll do:

• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel using plans and specs
• Put together full estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and write the proposals
• Line up and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
• Talk through constructability and erection sequencing with project managers and steel erectors

What you'll need:

• 5+ years of experience estimating structural steel
• Skilled blueprint reader
• Working knowledge of Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar estimating software
