Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lender – Birmingham, AL

Overview

We are seeking a proven Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lender to join a growing team focused on the Birmingham MSA and broader Alabama market. This role is ideal for a strong producer who combines business development with disciplined credit execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate, structure, and close CRE loans ranging from $500K to $5MM
• Develop and expand a profitable loan portfolio within the Birmingham market
• Maintain and grow an established book of business and referral network
• Perform detailed credit analysis with a focus on tax return–based underwriting
• Structure sound credit solutions while maintaining strong risk discipline
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored financing solutions
• Partner with internal credit teams to ensure efficient approvals and closings

Qualifications

• Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending experience with a strong credit background
• Demonstrated success handling $500K–$5MM deal sizes
• Deep market presence in the Birmingham MSA and broader Alabama region
• Consistent production history of approximately $1MM in monthly loan volume
• Established book of business and active referral network
• Proven ability to balance production, structuring, and credit discipline
