A well-established California law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Woodland Hills team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 1–5 years of civil litigation experience who wants to take on substantive work, develop strong litigation skills, and work alongside experienced attorneys on complex matters.
The firm handles a broad range of civil litigation and defense matters on behalf of businesses, insurers and other clients throughout California.
Assist with litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Take part in written discovery and depositions
Assist with hearings, mediations and trial preparation
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel and other parties
Work closely with senior attorneys while taking increasing responsibility for your cases
Manage deadlines and case files effectively
1–5 years of civil litigation experience
Active California Bar membership in good standing
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
Strong communication and analytical skills
Deposition experience is a plus
Experience with general liability, toxic tort, insurance defense, product liability or other complex civil litigation is preferred
Hybrid work environment
