Tax Manager

Location: Greenville, SC

Overview

A large national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its core tax services team in Greenville, SC on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days/week in office). You will manage client tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, recognize planning opportunities and develop less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and manage workflows, deadlines, deliverables and client communications
• Solve problems for clients in manufacturing, real estate, professional services and high-net-worth individuals
• Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable review of complex returns, including tax provision work
• Lead tax staff and seniors in a dynamic environment
• Train and develop less experienced professional staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 5+ years of public accounting experience, including at least 2 years of managerial experience
• Strong background in pass-through entity structures and a general understanding of corporate taxation
• General understanding of partnership taxation, particularly partnership equity investments
