Senior Associate, SBA Loan Review
Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid)
Overview
a long-established, nationally ranked regional CPA firm in the Southeast is seeking a Senior Associate for its financial institutions credit review practice, focused on SBA and commercial loan reviews for bank clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform SBA loan post-closing reviews and standard commercial loan reviews
- Evaluate compliance with SBA 7(a), 504 and USDA programs and current SBA Standard Operating Procedures
- Test bank internal controls and determine whether they can be relied upon
- Examine loan files for adherence to internal loan policy and federal regulations
- Prepare workpapers, document exceptions and draft client reports
- Work directly with client executives on consulting and compliance matters
Qualifications
- Four years of banking, SBA lending, underwriting or loan operations experience, or related professional services experience in banking
- Degree in finance, economics or accounting preferred
- Working knowledge of federal and state banking laws and regulations
- Familiarity with GAAP and GAAS; advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Overnight travel up to 50%; valid driver's license
