Senior Tax Manager

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Overview

A nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager in Albuquerque to provide final technical review, direct client service and develop staff and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide final technical review of returns and documents for the majority of the client base
• Research tax issues and recommend resolutions
• Stay abreast of developments in tax law and accounting procedures
• Plan, organize and coordinate client work to ensure deadlines are met
• Direct and support staff activities, set budgets and monitor quality
• Build internal and external networks to develop new business
• Manage billing and collections and monitor WIP, aging and write-downs
• Facilitate and participate in in-house CPE and training

Qualifications

• CPA, EA or JD required (CPA preferred)
• 10+ years of public accounting experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability and sound decision-making
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize a heavy workload
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
