Tax Manager - Restaurant & Hospitality

Location: Nashville, TN

Overview

A large national CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its restaurant, franchise and hospitality practice in Nashville, serving clients from single-concept operators to national franchise groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, delegating work and overseeing quality
• Develop and implement tax strategies for restaurant, franchise and hospitality clients
• Consult on complex matters including M&A, entity restructuring, tax planning and industry credits and incentives (e.g., FICA tip credits, cost segregation, sales and use tax)
• Review and prepare partnership, S corporation, individual and corporate returns
• Serve as primary point of contact with clients, tax authorities and regulatory bodies
• Conduct ongoing tax research to identify planning opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation preferred
• 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting
• Experience preparing and reviewing partnership, S corporation, individual and corporate returns
• CPA preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and retain a team
• Familiarity with restaurant, franchise and hospitality tax matters, including multi-unit structures
