Tax Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC

Overview

A fast-growing national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a generalist Tax Manager in Charlotte (hybrid). You will plan, manage, review and complete client engagements, provide proactive tax-saving strategies and serve as a key point of contact for designated clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal, state and international tax returns for individuals, corporations and partnerships
• Identify and analyze client tax issues and clearly communicate authority and conclusions
• Lead engagements from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, fee monitoring, execution and delivery
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of client returns and meet all regulatory deadlines
• Review team members’ work and provide constructive feedback
• Build client relationships and help attract new business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
• Expertise in individual, corporate and pass-through taxation
• Ability to develop tax planning strategies for clients
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office
• Experience supervising, training and reviewing the work of staff and seniors
