Senior Tax Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX

Overview

A large national CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for its real estate and construction tax team in San Antonio. This role is pivotal to growing the local tax practice, with a strong emphasis on business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage within the local tax practice, focused on expanding the client base and increasing market share
• Develop and execute business development strategies aimed at acquiring new clients in the region
• Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, providing tax planning, compliance and consulting services
• Stay current on industry trends, tax laws and regulations
• Mentor and develop junior staff and foster a culture of learning and collaboration

Qualifications

• CPA or other relevant credential required
• Recent public accounting experience
• 10+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting, preferably in real estate, construction and/or manufacturing
• Extensive knowledge of partnerships and/or other business returns
• Proven success in business development
• Exceptional communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of tax software and technology
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation preferred
