Heavy Equipment Mechanic

A well established, growing company is seeking a skilled and motived Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service their unique vehicles produced for the Construction, Industrial, Agriculture and Sanitation industries. Ideal candidates will be well rounded, possessing extensive knowledge of diesel mechanics AND experience with hydraulic and electrical systems. Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work as part of a team to diagnos, repair and mainain vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
  • Troubleshoot and identify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate assessments and efficient repairs
  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete work orders
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and labor hours
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

 Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Skills:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Technician
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills and safety focus
  • Relevant certifications or training
