Litigation Attorney

Location: Southfield, MI

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000

Work Arrangement: Primarily On-Site | Opportunity for hybrid work as well

A respected law firm in Michigan is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This position is ideal for an attorney with strong litigation experience and a background in real estate, mortgage, or related commercial matters. Candidates with broader litigation experience beyond insurance defense are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
• Conduct depositions, court appearances, hearings, and mediations
• Develop case strategy and provide legal analysis
• Work directly with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes
• Handle matters involving real estate, mortgage, commercial, and general civil litigation issues

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan
• Strong litigation experience with the ability to independently manage a caseload
• Preferred experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation
• Insurance defense experience preferred
• Excellent written, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and client service orientation
