We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven Commercial Construction Estimator who knows how to turn drawings into real-world costs—and winning projects. If you enjoy breaking down complex plans, finding efficiencies, and playing a key role in what projects get built (and how), this is a position where your expertise truly matters.
You won’t be stuck behind a desk just crunching numbers—you’ll be a strategic partner from preconstruction through project kickoff.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be at the front end of every project—setting the foundation for success.
- Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specs, and scope to develop detailed takeoffs
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
- Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams during preconstruction
- Develop conceptual budgets and assist with feasibility analysis
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Support bid presentations and client discussions
What You Bring
- 3–7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and pricing
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and bid documents
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear communicator who can work cross-functionally with teams
What Sets You Apart
- Experience estimating ground-up or large commercial projects
- Familiarity with takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, etc.)
- Strong subcontractor network and market knowledge
- A track record of winning work through accurate and strategic bids
