Job Description

Drive growth for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager role pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and calls for Midwest travel.

Responsibilities

• Create a reliable pipeline of steel erection work from owners and general contractors
• Lead pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Watch bid schedules, competitor positioning, and regional forecasts
• Travel the Midwest to grow accounts and push opportunities to award
• Be the face of an AISC-certified Michigan erector with clients and at events

Ideal profile

• BD or sales experience tied to steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Success winning large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Contacts with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Ready for Midwest travel
• Strong communication skills and a closing habit
