Division Manager – Concrete Paving & Flatwork

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Division Manager to lead the operations of a growing concrete paving and flatwork division. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in commercial concrete flatwork and paving, with a strong understanding of estimating, project management, field operations, business development, and financial performance.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the division from business development and estimating through project execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the concrete paving and flatwork division
  • Lead business development efforts and build strong relationships with clients and contractors
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities
  • Oversee estimating, bidding, and project turnover
  • Manage project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field operations
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, costs, and profitability
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Establish operational processes to improve productivity and profitability
  • Assist with hiring, training, and development of division personnel
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for continued growth of the division
  • Work closely with company ownership and senior leadership on financial and operational goals

Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial concrete flatwork and/or concrete paving
  • Previous experience in a senior operations, division management, or executive-level role preferred
  • Strong understanding of concrete paving, flatwork, and related construction methods
  • Experience with estimating and project management
  • Proven ability to develop business and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Strong financial and operational understanding
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a business and develop people

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $160,000
  • Total compensation can exceed $300,000 for the right candidate through bonuses, incentives, and performance-based compensation
