Job Description

Alvin-area structural steel opening for a Tekla Detailer/Checker. You'll model, detail, and check structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings for commercial and industrial projects, and the clean, buildable drawings you deliver go right to the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Check assembly, shop, and erection drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Detail structural and miscellaneous steel models in Tekla Structures
• Hold drawings to AISC standards and project specifications
• Handle RFIs and revisions alongside project managers, engineers, and fabricators
• Coach junior detailers and keep drawing quality consistent

Requirements

• 3+ years detailing structural steel in Tekla Structures
• Solid knowledge of AISC standards, connections, and fabrication practices
• Checking experience strongly preferred
• Strong eye for detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
• Benefits package
