⚖️ South Carolina Foreclosure Attorney | Part-Time | Remote

📌 Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced South Carolina Foreclosure Attorney to join their team on a part-time, remote basis. This attorney will be responsible for handling both uncontested and contested foreclosure litigation matters, with additional exposure to bankruptcy and eviction-related matters.

The position is primarily remote; however, in-person attendance at courts throughout South Carolina is required for hearings, mediations, trials, and other proceedings as needed.

⚖️ Key Responsibilities

  • Handle uncontested and contested foreclosure litigation matters from initiation through resolution

  • Represent clients at mediations, hearings, trials, and other court proceedings throughout South Carolina

  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents

  • Review and analyze complaints, motions, final judgments, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal research and provide sound legal analysis

  • Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, and other legal matters

  • Assist with bankruptcy and eviction-related matters as needed

  • Provide responsive, professional service and strong legal representation to internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage assigned cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

  • Support other legal projects and duties as assigned

🎓 Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing

  • 5+ years of legal experience, preferably with substantial foreclosure experience

  • Experience handling both uncontested and contested foreclosure matters strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of South Carolina foreclosure laws and procedures

  • Litigation and courtroom experience

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable appearing in courts throughout South Carolina

  • Bankruptcy and/or eviction experience is a plus

  • Strong client-service mindset and professional judgment
