Audit Manager

Location: Louisville, KY

Overview

One of the larger advisory and CPA firms in the region is seeking an Assurance Manager in Louisville. You will oversee engagements from start to finish, manage client relationships and internal teams, and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables across audit, review and other assurance services.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assurance engagements and risk assessments, including budgeting, scheduling and deadlines
• Review workpapers and financial statements for director review
• Serve as a main point of contact for clients and proactively address their needs
• Create and execute assurance plans, including test design, scope and scheduling
• Maintain strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and assurance methodologies
• Train, develop and mentor staff and serve as a career advisor
• Maintain assurance CPE requirements (e.g., Yellow Book, employee benefit plans)
• Assist with recruiting, process improvement, training and business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Five to six years of assurance or accounting experience
• CPA license required
