Tax Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX

Overview

One of the fastest-growing audit, tax and advisory firms in the country is seeking a Tax Manager in San Antonio. You will be responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely completion of client assignments and will own client relationships across the entire engagement. The role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for all phases of engagements, including supervising associates, planning, scheduling and staffing
• Review and/or prepare Forms 1065, 1040, 1120 and 1120-S, quarterly estimates, extensions and year-end projections
• Perform technical review and approval of complex returns and governmental tax examinations
• Research technical issues to ensure federal, state and local compliance
• Manage tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities as needed
• Serve clients in a consultative role and identify value-added services
• Communicate engagement progress, problems and resolutions to clients

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• Active CPA license
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred
• Extensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and related guidance
• Strong organizational and time management skills across multiple engagements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
