Tax Director - Public Accounting | Houston, TX

A respected regional CPA firm is adding a Tax Director in Houston. This is a leadership seat for an experienced tax professional who enjoys advising clients, developing people, and helping shape the growth of a practice, with a culture that values life outside the office.

What You'll Do

• Own a portfolio of client relationships and serve as their go-to tax advisor
• Oversee engagements from planning through delivery, keeping work on schedule and on budget
• Provide final review on returns, research, and provision-related work
• Develop planning strategies that reduce clients' tax exposure
• Coach and grow managers, seniors, and staff
• Help expand the practice through new client and service opportunities

What You'll Bring

• CPA license
• Extensive public accounting tax experience, including leadership of engagements and teams
• Strong technical research and review skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Master's in Taxation a plus
