Employment Law Attorney – Seattle, WA

A respected Seattle law firm is looking to add an Employment Law Attorney with litigation experience to its team. This attorney will handle a variety of employment matters and have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility for their cases and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Handle employment litigation matters from start to finish

  • Work on wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and other employment disputes

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents

  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Communicate directly with clients and provide advice on employment-related issues

  • Assist with employment policies, compliance, and risk management matters

  • Manage an active caseload and work with other attorneys on more complex matters

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active Washington State Bar license

  • 4–8 years of employment law experience

  • Strong employment litigation experience

  • Experience with depositions and motions practice

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Able to manage cases independently

  • First-chair experience is a plus, but not required
