About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Insurance Defense Attorney with 3–7 years of experience to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general liability defense and experience managing cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities
- Defend insureds and insurance carriers in general liability matters.
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from assignment through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Handle written discovery and discovery disputes.
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other court proceedings.
- Develop litigation strategy and provide recommendations regarding liability, exposure, and settlement.
- Communicate regularly with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Manage case deadlines, budgets, and litigation expenses.
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
- 3–7 years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience.
- Strong general liability defense experience preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload.
- Strong negotiation, advocacy, and case-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and professional judgment.
