A well-established law firm in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a talented Medical Malpractice Attorney to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in litigation and an interest in developing or expanding their practice in medical malpractice, professional liability, and related areas.

What You'll Do

  • Manage litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Analyze medical records, evidence, and complex legal issues
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Assist with or take an active role in trial proceedings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other professionals
  • Work closely with attorneys and support staff to develop effective litigation strategies
  • Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines throughout the litigation process
  • Continue developing expertise in medical malpractice and professional liability law

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of litigation experience preferred
  • Experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare litigation, or a related practice area is preferred
  • Strong interest in developing a career in medical malpractice litigation will also be considered
  • Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active Indiana Bar license and in good standing
  • Strong academic background
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and highly motivated
  • Desire to grow professionally and take the next step in your legal career
