Job Description

Lead fabricated steel projects for a structural steel fabricator serving the Harrison, OH area. This Project Manager needs 8+ years of experience and will guide each job from contract award to final erection, linking the shop with the steel erectors.

Key duties:

• Work closely with steel erectors on sequencing, deliveries, site logistics, and field issues
• Run project meetings with general contractors, owners, and erectors, and handle RFIs and submittals
• Keep billing, production, and costs on track and raise risks early
• Own scope, schedule, budget, and change orders on fabricated steel projects from award to closeout
• Coordinate the shop, engineers, and detailers on drawings, approvals, and fabrication

Requirements:

• Comfortable reading structural and shop drawings
• Strong scheduling, cost-control, and communication skills
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
• 8+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication or steel erection
• Track record coordinating steel erectors and field crews
