Job Description

A structural steel fabricator serving the Harrison, OH area needs a Steel Estimator to bid fabricated and erected steel on commercial and industrial work. You'll own each estimate from takeoff to proposal.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
• Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and write proposals
• Request and compare quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
• Work with steel erectors and project managers on constructability and erection sequencing

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of structural steel estimating experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Familiarity with Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar estimating software
