Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Mobile, AL

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its growing Mobile, Alabama operation.

This is an opportunity to take a lead role with a respected contractor known for long-standing client relationships, repeat business, and delivering high-quality commercial construction throughout the Southeast. The Senior Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal field leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, contracts, and change orders
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain schedule, quality, and safety expectations
• Manage RFIs, submittals, owner changes, pay applications, and project documentation
• Lead owner and subcontractor meetings
• Identify project risks and resolve issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality

Project Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects such as:

• Industrial / warehouse / distribution
• Retail
• Medical and office
• Corporate facilities
• Institutional projects
• Tenant improvements and interiors
• Design-build projects

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience
• Prior experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
• Strong ground-up construction experience
• Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or related field preferred
