Job Description

A respected and growing law firm in the Kansas City area is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its expanding litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex insurance coverage matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do:

• Represent insurers in first- and third-party insurance coverage matters.
• Analyze coverage issues involving commercial and personal insurance policies.
• Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, dispositive motions, and legal memoranda.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and risk exposure.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective litigation and coverage strategies.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Missouri license (Kansas license or ability to obtain is a plus).
• 2+ years of insurance coverage or civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience managing cases and communicating directly with clients.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
