Purchasing Manager – Mechanical / Plumbing / Piping
Location: Southwest Minneapolis Metro | Full-Time

A well-established mechanical contractor in the Southwest Minneapolis Metro area is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead for plumbing, piping, and mechanical materials. This is a high-impact role supporting project and field operations across commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:
• Manage material purchasing across mechanical and plumbing projects
• Maintain inventory levels and coordinate reorders based on project needs
• Build and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and delivery terms
• Place and track purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials
• Coordinate closely with project managers and field teams to forecast material usage
• Inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy, and handle discrepancies
• Keep detailed records for audits, invoicing, and delivery schedules

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within mechanical or plumbing supply
• Strong knowledge of piping and plumbing materials used in commercial construction
• Excellent vendor negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communicator, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
