Position Overview

The Project Manager provides overall leadership and accountability for commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a hands-on, results-driven leader who enjoys managing diverse, fast-paced projects and collaborating closely with executives to align with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Estimating during the preconstruction phase
  • Interpret construction plans and specifications accurately
  • Lead projects from start to finish, driving schedule, budget, and quality
  • Mentor and guide junior project management staff
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to support repeat work and future opportunities
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement, including buyout, scope review, contract writing, and insurance/bonding compliance
  • Resolve drawing conflicts and provide constructible solutions
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, owner billings, timesheets, and monthly project reports
  • Ensure timely and accurate owner billings and subcontractor payments
  • Prepare monthly cost projections and forecasts
  • Oversee project schedules and provide consistent progress updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of building systems and construction methods
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently from award through closeout
  • Financially savvy with strong cost control and forecasting skills
  • A proactive leader who can hit the ground running
