Senior Counsel Commercial Real-Estate

We have partnered with a distinguished employer in the Hamilton area who is searching for an experienced attorney with a relevant background in Commercial Real Estate. You will play a pivotal leadership role in providing legal advice and assistance related to the commercial real estate aspects of our candidate's business. This includes but is not limited to the buying, selling, financing, developing, leasing, and managing of multi-unit residential, industrial, and retail properties and clean energy projects.

What your background looks like:

  • Possess a broad understanding of legal and business concepts relevant to the practice of commercial real estate law.
  • Substantial knowledge in aspects of complex real estate transactions.
  • Exhibit skills in drafting and negotiating agreements and documents.
  • Has extensive experience with drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and providing advice on commercial lease documents and various forms of commercial agreements.
  • Possess the ability to interpret and apply statutes and case law.
  • Working experience with Teraview.
  • Have a minimum 10 years legal practice experience, including at least 5 years of commercial real estate legal practice experience.
  • Is licensed to practice Law in Canada & Ontario.
  • Is in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario or equivalent.
