Assistant Controller | Commercial Construction (Phoenix, AZ)
A rapidly growing commercial general contractor in Phoenix is seeking an Assistant Controller to support its expanding accounting operations. This organization is currently generating ~$400M in annual revenue and is on a strong trajectory toward $1B+ in the coming years, creating a need for additional leadership within the finance team.
Position OverviewThis role will partner closely with senior leadership to oversee core accounting functions, support financial reporting, and help scale processes to meet continued growth. The team is open to candidates with adjacent or transferable experience (e.g., Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, FP&A with strong accounting exposure) who are ready to step into a leadership-track role.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Partner with operations to ensure accurate project financials
Help improve systems, processes, and scalability of the accounting function
